Tottenham vs Burnley
Tottenham played host to Burnley on Saturday afternoon in what was Jose Mourinho’s 4th Premier League game in charge of Spurs.
The North London outfit had an emphatic start to life under Mourinho, emerging victorious from the former Chelsea and Manchester United man’s first four games at the helm.
But Mourinho and co were given somewhat of a reality check in midweek when they were handed a 2-1 defeat by one of Mourinho’s former clubs, Man United.
When Spurs kicked off on Saturday they were sat 8th in the English top-flight.
However, the Lilywhites could have moved as high as 5th with a win over the Clarets.
Spurs also had a good opportunity to close the gap on the top four after 4th place Chelsea were put to the sword by Everton in the early PL tie.
As for Burnley, they began the day 12th in the English top-flight but a win over Tottenham would have seen Sean Dyche’s side leapfrog Spurs in the table.
As of writing, Spurs are 3-0 up with 45 minutes played.

Why Ndombele & Winks missed out
As is customary, Spurs released their starting line-up an hour before kick-off.

The matchday squad was pretty standard but there were two noticeable omissions.
Both Harry Winks and Tanguy Ndombele were not named in the 18 to take on Burnley.
Spurs would then take to Twitter to provide an explanation as to why both of the aforementioned midfielders missed out.
Ndombele is suffering from a groin problem while Winks has an ankle issue.
