Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes Paul Pogba is the fittest and most focused he has been during his time at Manchester United.

Pogba’s astonishing left-footed effort ensured United returned to top of the Premier League in a gutsy victory over rejuvenated Fulham at Craven Cottage.

The Frenchman resumed a more familiar role in the midfield axis and was influential in both attack and defence for Solskjaer’s side in West London.

Pogba was frustrated not to have proven the match-winner against Liverpool at Anfield but got redemption with a vital goal that propelled United back to the league’s summit.

Solskjaer was asked in his post-match press conference about the 27-year-old’s impact and explained that the midfielder is in good shape both mentally and physically which owes to his improved recent form.
